Frequently asked questions
Are these tests free?
Yes. All Symptomatik mental-health self-assessments are free, with no account required and no server-side storage of your responses.
Are these clinical diagnoses?
No. Every tool here is a screening instrument validated for use in clinical and research settings, but a screening result is not a diagnosis. A clinician’s evaluation determines any clinical diagnosis and treatment plan.
Where do these tests come from?
Each tool is a published, peer-reviewed instrument (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, SCOFF, DASS-21). We present each instrument verbatim and score per the published validation manual. References are listed at the bottom of every tool page.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your answers stay in your browser; Symptomatik does not send your responses to any server. If you save a PDF, that file is generated locally on your device.
Can I take more than one test?
Yes. Each tool is independent. The combined PHQ-9 + GAD-7 also runs both screens in a single session, which is how they are most often used together in primary care.
